Principal of New Life
As the principal of Trinity Charter Schools – New Life Campus, Joshua Machicek enjoys supporting the learning of students and teachers. New Life serves around 55 students in fourth through twelfth grades. The campus staff prides themselves on their excellent teamwork and always helping students accomplish their educational goals.
Josh began his career in education with Trinity Charter Schools at the New Life Campus as a teacher. Josh then moved abroad to teach at Awsaj Academy, a Qatar Foundation school designed to meet the unique needs of students in Doha, Qatar. He was a teacher at Awsaj Academy for five years and worked his way up to the Assistant Principal role. When his time in Qatar ended, Josh moved back to Texas and was able to return to Trinity Charter Schools’ New Life Campus as a Principal. In his time at Trinity Charter Schools, Josh has enjoyed the opportunity to serve the specific needs of our students, work with an incredibly talented group of professionals, and launch various initiatives aimed at individualizing education for our students.
Josh graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2006 with a degree in Marine Biology. After earning his alternative certification for teaching and spending time in the classroom, Josh returned to graduate school and earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Texas State University in 2013. Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with family, coaching his kid’s sports teams, traveling, and maintaining relationships with the friends he has made throughout life.
