Andrew Goerdel served as a Senior Software Development Engineer & Lead for the Microsoft Corporation for more than 15 years before retiring in February 2016. With 25 years of experience in software development and more than 10 years in project management, Andrew used his wealth of knowledge to implement vital process and procedure improvements, resulting in an estimated total savings of over $10 million. During his tenure with Microsoft, Andrew won more than 15 awards and received their Key Talent Award four years in a row.
Throughout his career, Andrew displayed his heart for the community by serving on the Hopelink board from January 1995 to February 2016 and the Seniors Making Art board from January 2002 to December 2008. Eager to remain actively involved in the child welfare and social services sectors following retirement, Andrew joined the Trinity Charter Schools board in April 2016.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, Pulp & Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Washington and his Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho. He and his wife, Michelle, enjoy traveling together and have visited over 40 different countries.
